I have activated this lighthouse 3 times between 8th April 2005 and 6th June 2005

 

My first visit to BASS ROCK lighthouse 2005. Location: on the east coast of Scotland, 22 miles/34.5Kms east of the city of EDINBURGH and close to the coastal town of NORTH BERWICK Established 1st November 1902, automated 1988 and is still operating today. Engineer David A. Stevenson, tower 65 feet/ 20 meters high. Nominal range 10 miles. it is also a nature reserve with many thousands of nesting birds,razor bills,guillemots,eider ducks and 60/80 thousand gannots. Bass Rock was also used as a prison from 1672 until 1701. The Bass Rock sunset photograph was taken near FIDRA lighthouse ,a distance of 5 miles.
