NORTH QUEENSFERRY lighthouse is located 8 miles /13Kms northwest of the City of EDINBURGH,

Close to the famous FORTH railway bridge. 1812, builder John Rennie. It is a lantern tower,about 33ft/11meters,

hexagonal ashlar tower with two string courses moulded cornice and blocking course, supporting octagonal lantern, with 4 panes per face and domed copper roof with cross-shaped copper vent pipe. used to guide ferry vessels safely to the town pier
